The Bharathi Education Society which subsequently became the Bharathi Education Trust (B. E. T) has its headquarters at B. E. T campus, Bharathinagara, Maddur Taluk, Mandya District, Karnataka State. B.E.T was established in 1962 by Dr G.Madegowda, the honourable Ex- Member of Parliament and former minister of Government of Karnataka. It is aimed at fulfilling the educational, cultural, and social, economical and other aspirations of the people in and around Bharathinagara, which was a small hamlet of no significance.
Dr G. Madegowda is the founder chairman of the trust and his sincere, untiriing efforts have led to the establishment of several institutions at Bharathinagara, Hanumanthnagara and Kirugavalu under the auspices of B. E. T. The founder secretary of the trust late Sri Annur S .Siddegowda, was also instrumental in establishing several institutions run by the trust. The B. E. T is now managed by board of trustees.
GMINYS was established in 2018 by BHARATI EDUCATION TRUST(R) in Bharatinagara, Mandya. The college offers a 5-and-a-half-year BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) Medical Degree Course, which is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognized by the Government of Karnataka and the Government of India. The BNYS program entails four and a half years of regular study, followed by a compulsory rotatory internship for one year. The college has an intake capacity of 40 students every year. Presently, students from various states of India are enrolled in this institution. The program offered by the college combines the knowledge of modern medical systems with the traditional healing science of naturopathy and yoga. The college promises to provide diverse opportunities for the holistic development of each student.
